WHAT TO EXPECT

Initial Visit
Budget for a time of 1- 1 1/2 hours. A complete history will be taken, and a thorough physical and biomechanical evaluation pertaining to the complaint will be performed. The working diagnosis and results will be discussed, and a treatment plan suggested during a report of findings. If appropriate, treatment will be given and home care will be assigned and explained. The cost is $200.

Subsequent Visit
Budget for a time of 15-30 minutes. We start with an update of your condition, perform some objective tests, and continue treatment based on a combination of the results and treatment plan. The cost is $60.

Reassessments
Budget for a time of 30-45 minutes. Assessments of the progress of your condition occur on an ongoing basis, but a formal reassessment occurs either at the end of treatment, or at the 24th visit. Reassessments occur with new injuries or with significant changes to the current issue. The cost is $75.

Acupuncture
After the initial assessment, follow-up treatments are approximately 30 minutes. The cost is $40. When acupuncture is combined with a chiropractic adjustment, it is approximately 45 minutes for a cost of $90.

Payment and Cancellation Policy
Payment is due each visit. We accept cash, cheque, debit, MC or VISA. Receipts are available for tax purposes or for submission to insurance. 24 hours notice by telephone is required to change or cancel an appointment. The full amount of the appointment will be applied if changes or cancellations are within 24 business hours from your appointment (eg. a change/cancellation for a Monday appointment, would require notice on the Friday prior).

Injury-specific care, acute and chronic pain, and wellness care
Sometimes patients come in to our clinic due to an injury, or are in a state of acute or chronic pain. We are very pleased to help move you through to a non-injured, pain-free state. We incorporate many different elements into our treatments, but are able to collaborate and function as a part of a health team as required. After patients have improved, they may choose to return on an as-needed basis. Some continue with visits on a regular basis under wellness care.

Wellness care describes patients that come in for visits who are not experiencing active pain. Our role is to promote postural connections and achieve biomechanical efficiency.
